Project TEN Director
Shay was born in Austria and raised in Beer Sheva; he lived temporarily in Modi’in. Father to Shira, Noa and Omri and partner to Ravit. Shay likes eggplant and sometimes people, and is looking for meaning. He goes for a walks in the woods with Cookla the dog. In the past, he directed the Jewish Agency's "Youth Futures" program that operates for children and youth in the periphery of Israel. Today he manages Project TEN in Israel and worldwide. He likes reading, traveling and listening to music.
Recruitment and Sorting Director
Batya was born and raised in Jerusalem. She has a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University. After graduation, she specialized in the Institute of Zionist Strategies (IZS). She worked at the Israeli Voluntary Association (IVA) as a Recruitment Manager in the Arab sector. Since 2017, she has been working in Project TEN and has been responsible for volunteers, recruitment, sorting and evaluating projects and the positive mood at headquarters. You will always find her talking about a new book or article. She loves yoga and she is a professional baker.
Professional Development Director
Naama has a Master's degree in Community Social Work with extensive experience in international development and international aid: For 4 years she was the CEO of Brit World – an NGO for international development, she directed post-earthquake emergency operations in Haiti on behalf of NATAN. Naama is responsible for the projects in the field, she develops the professional model of Project TEN and manages the daily routines of all centers, with great love and dedication.
Content and Training Director
Yaara has a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology; with a background in developing and leading programs in the third sector, in particular, group facilitation, content development and personal processes of youth and young people. In her previous role, she took a significant part in the founding of the "HaTachana" Youth Center in Lod. She likes to invent methodologies, write outlines and the portal for Project TEN.
Marketing and International Partnerships Director
Seems like Tamar does not want to leave Africa. She has a BA in Hebrew literature and Political science from Ben Gurion University in the Negev. She directed the Project TEN Uganda center for two years and now works for head quarters as Marketing and International recruitment director. Tamar grew up in Jerusalem and worked a lot with the asylum seekers and refugees in Israel before moving to Africa. She loves cooking and traveling, she hates cleaning and she misses cottage cheese.
